All Rustic Metalz artwork is handcrafted from real 20-gauge cold rolled steel and finished with our signature copper patina process. Every piece is coated with a high-grade automotive clear coat, the same type of protective finish used on vehicles, for long-lasting durability and protection.

Yes. Our pieces are coated with an outdoor-safe automotive clear coat and are designed to withstand outdoor conditions. Like vehicles, outdoor exposure over many years may naturally create wear over time. For maximum longevity, we recommend occasional car wax and hanging pieces in slightly covered areas when possible.

Absolutely. Custom signs are one of our specialties. Customers can send inspiration photos, logos, sketches, measurements, or design ideas through our inquiry form, by email (rusticmetalz@gmail.com), or by text (320-333-4123).

Most custom orders are completed within 14–21 days. During busy seasons (May through December), larger or more complex projects may take up to 3–4 weeks depending on workload and design complexity.

Yes. We provide design mockups and revisions before anything is cut. Once the final design is approved and payment is completed, we move into production.

Every piece goes through a hands-on artisan process. Designs are hand-created digitally, CNC plasma cut from steel, sanded multiple times, cleaned, patina finished by hand, and sealed with automotive-grade clear coat. Most pieces are handled 10–20 times before completion.

Yes. We offer custom engraving for names, memorials, dates, gifts, pet artwork, and personalized pieces. We also offer live engraving at many events and art festivals.

Rustic Metalz travels throughout Minnesota and the Midwest year-round for art festivals, markets, fairs, and events. Our full event schedule can be found on the Events page, and social media is updated regularly with event information.

Most orders ship through USPS. Smaller items such as magnets are carefully packaged in bubble mailers, while larger artwork is secured inside heavy-duty cardboard packaging to prevent movement or damage during shipping.

The largest single-piece item we currently ship is approximately 45” x 45”. Larger projects may require custom delivery coordination or scheduled pickup arrangements.

Single-piece signs can be created up to 4’ x 8’. Larger projects can sometimes be created by fabricating multiple sections together depending on the design.

We do not currently operate a traditional retail storefront. Rustic Metalz primarily sells through art festivals, events, and online. Scheduled appointments may be available at our Princeton, Minnesota workshop for serious inquiries.

At this time, Rustic Metalz is focused on shipping within the United States.

Most pieces include screws for installation and are relatively lightweight. Many customers also choose to use 3M VHB mounting tape for certain indoor or outdoor applications.
